Kathmandu. The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has said that the credibility of the report prepared by the commission formed to investigate the physical and human casualties caused by the Jenji agitation on September 7 and 24 will raise doubts.
The government has formed a commission under the convenorship of Gauri Bahadur Karki. The commission has already started its work from September 9. Nepal Bar Association (NEA) has said that the credibility of the report will be doubted as the commission has not been able to prepare it.
“The precedent of the chairman of the commission formed to investigate the incidents of Janji agitation on September 23 and the incidents of vandalism, arson and looting on September 24 has not made public any credible guarantee that the impartiality of the commission will not be compromised. There is a general perception that the government of Nepal has taken the investigation matter lightly to fulfill the formality to investigate such a serious incident. This will also lose the credibility of the commission’s report,” the statement reads.
“The report of the judiciary has shown the improvement of the judiciary,” the statement said. KATHMANDU: The 16th All Nepal Lawyer National Conference of Nepal Bar Association has put forth its views on the issue of judiciary restructuring. It is of the opinion that the reform of the judiciary should take place through a legal mechanism in consultation with the judiciary.
“We strongly condemn any attempt to run a guided judiciary by keeping the independent judiciary in fear and terror. It is the principle of an independent, competent and accountable judiciary. We strongly condemn any coercion, coercion, assault and illegal activities against it,” the statement said.
“No matter how difficult the country is in, the basic standards of the rule of law cannot be ignored and it is the first responsibility of the state to follow the basic standards of human rights including fair hearing,” reads the statement.
“The government should be serious towards the activities that have lowered the morale of the security agencies, especially the Nepal Police. Anger, anger and anarchy lead to murder, violence and retaliation. Lasting peace is possible only through dialogue and cooperation. Therefore, we urge the government of Nepal to hold extensive dialogue,” the statement reads. We firmly believe that the exercise of people’s right to justice should not be obstructed at any moment. ’
The court has requested the government to provide land within the premises of the Supreme Court for the construction of the building.
