Kathmandu. The service seekers will not have to go to the Traffic Police Office to apply for the recovery of the documents of the vehicles burnt during the agitation of ‘Genji’ youths on September 7 and 24.
The service for the retrieval of burnt documents can be availed through an online system. The fire destroyed vehicle documents, driving license, registration book, fine and important documents, among others.
Spokesperson of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office and Superintendent of Police (SP) Naresh Raj Subedi said that the form can be filled by clicking on the website of Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office (KVPO).
After the application is submitted, the application number will come. Later, when the number is entered in the check application, the service recipient receives a recommendation letter with QR code. He said, “The service seeker has to go to the concerned transport office with the recommendation letter of QR code. This will save the time of the service recipients and reduce the workload in the traffic police office. ’
Spokesperson Subedi said that vehicles can be operated for now on the basis of a 24-hour permit or recommendation letter issued by the traffic police if the documents of any person have been burnt.
“Even if you don’t have a driving license, if you have a 24-hour warrant issued by the traffic police or any other evidence, you will be allowed to drive the vehicle on the basis of that,” he said. ’
