Kathmandu. Hulas Steel Industries, which has been consuming electricity from dedicated trunk line in Simara, has started paying the arrears of premium to the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA).
The industry has received approval from the NEA to pay the total arrears of premium amount of Rs 14.12 crore for the use of dedicated and trunk line from January 2015 to April 2015 in 28 installments of Rs 5 million 43,000 per month.
Manoj Silwa, managing director of NEA, said that the industry paid the first tranche of the grant on Friday.
Similarly, Ashok Steel of Simara, which has outstanding dues of Rs 17.58 crore, has also paid the first installment. Ashok paid Rs 6.3 million in 28 installments.
