Kathmandu. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Asian Institute of Diplomacy and International Affairs (AIDA) of Nepal and the Centre for Strategic Studies (CSS) under the President of Tajikistan to strengthen research and dialogue on bilateral and multilateral issues.

According to the MoU signed by Sunil KC, founder of IDA, and Usmonzoda Khairiddin Usmon, president of CSS, the two organizations will collaborate in joint studies, exchange of experts, and collaborate in educational and policy programs to be held in Nepal and Tajikistan.

“The two organizations have agreed to conduct joint projects to strengthen regional understanding, constructive engagement, and economic diplomacy,” KC said after the agreement.

As part of the partnership, Aida and CSS will co-host a forum called ‘Dushanbe Dialogue’.  The theme of which will be ‘Brave Center Meets South’. According to the agreement, the dialogue will focus on key issues such as energy, security, artificial intelligence, and climate change.

“This dialogue will serve as a common platform for the exchange of perspectives among scholars, researchers and policymakers on regional and global issues,” Osmon said.

According to KC, this collaboration is an important step towards building long-term educational and policy relations between Nepal and Tajikistan. The two organizations have expressed a common commitment to promote peace, development and knowledge-based cooperation based on mutual understanding.
