Kathmandu. The Department of Foreign Employment’s Information Management System (FPIMS) has faced problems for those applying for work permit. Information Officer at the Department, Tikaram Dhakal, told RSS that those applying for labour permit from outside the department have been facing problems due to the problem in the system since Tuesday.

He said, “The problem in FPIMS has further troubled the service recipients applying from outside.” We are providing services to those who come to the department for urgent labour permit through another system. There is a problem in the case of applicants from outside the department. ’

Similarly, the problem seen on the website was resolved from Tuesday, according to the department. Dhakal said that the technical team is investigating the problem in FPIMS and the problem will be resolved in a few days.

“There was a problem with the expiry of the special certificate of the website. When the server was shut down on Tuesday, those applying for work permit were also affected. This issue has been resolved on the same day,” he said.
