Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Domestic and foreign tourists flock to Bardiya to observe Krishnasar, one of the endangered wildlife. This conservation area is located in Khairapur of Gulariya Municipality-2, about 45 km from Bardiya National Park.

According to the data of the Krishnasar Conservation Area, in the last fiscal year 2081/82, 4,600 tourists including domestic, SAARC and foreign tourists had observed the blackbuck.TAG_OPEN_span_28 TAG_OPEN_span_27 This fiscal year, however, the number of tourists is said to be less due to the rainy season. Necessary physical construction and habitat management works are being carried out in order to manage the Krishnasar Conservation Area. There is a plan to prepare a conservation area management plan and hand over the responsibility of its conservation and management to the local community in the future.
