Kathmandu. The stock market rose on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week. On Wednesday, the NEPSE index increased by 12.17 points to close at 2,607.42 points. The sensitive index has increased by 1.14 points today. Today, the float index has increased by 0.90 points and the sensitive float index has increased by 0.45 points.
Although the stock market has risen, the trading volume has decreased compared to the previous day. On the previous trading day, shares worth Rs 5.15 billion were traded in the market and only Rs 4.68 billion was traded.
Out of 13 sub-groups, the indices of 11 sub-groups have fallen. The index of the remaining 2 sub-groups declined. The finance sub-group index rose the most by 3.41 percent on the day. The indices of hotel and tourism and mutual fund sub-groups decreased slightly.
Today, the share price of Mabilung Energy Company is trading at a positive circuit level today. Similarly, the share price of Unnati Sahyog Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd has increased by 10 percent today. On the other hand, the share price of Nepal Finance has increased by more than 9 percent. The share price of First Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Ltd fell the most today. The company’s share price fell 7.48% today.
On the basis of turnover, Union Hydropower is in the highest position today. The company’s shares worth Rs 38.61 crore were traded today. Shares worth more than Rs 32.5 crore of Himalayan Distillery were traded today.
