Palpa. The lake is circumambulated three times, the bamboo leaves or lingos taken away are buried on the side of the lake, worshiped and worshiped by identifying the lingo buried near the lake and shouting boons. This is the scene of Kartikeya Purnima fair held at Satyawati Lake in Palpa.
On the last day of the 5-day fair, the festival was held at Satyawati Lake in Koldanda of Palpa. Although the fair started from the 15th of the month, there was a crowd of devotees from Tuesday evening to Wednesday evening.
According to Dan Bahadur Gaha, chairman of the temple management committee, more than 150,000 devotees visited the temple in 24 hours.
Devotees from Palpa, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Nawalpur, Arghakhanchi, Syangja, Kaski, Baglung, Kathmandu, Tanahun and Chitwan also visit the fair. Apart from this, people from Gorakhpur, Sunauli, Nautuna, Basti and Naugadh of neighboring countries of India come here to visit the Satyawati Lake and the deaf grandmother here.
There is a belief that the grandmother at Satyawati Lake, a religious tourist site, has little ears and can be reached by shouting and asking for a boon.
The area around the lake is believed to have originated in the area. It is believed that because the ears do not hear, it is customary to shout to the grandmother and ask for a boon ।
