Myagdi. The Lasti-Beni section of the Kaligandaki Corridor is being blacktopped. This is the main road linking Maldhunga-Beni and Mustang with the national highway.

Information Officer of Beni-Jomsom-Korala Road Project, Engineer Bishnu Chapagain, said that the road from Farse to Beni will be blacktopped today.

“The 13-kilometer Maldhunga-Beni road section has already been sloped along two kilometres in the landslide-affected area”, he informed.

Before this, a five-km stretch from Maldhunga of Kushma municipality-1 to Farse of Jaljala rural municipality-8 was completed.

A contract agreement was signed in April 2020 for the blacktopping and slope of Maldhunga-Beni road section at a cost of Rs 528.6 million.
