According to Information Officer Dahal, only 60 per cent paddy has been sown in Kathmandu, 55 per cent in Lalitpur, 28.83 per cent in Rasuwa, 27.8 per cent in Sindhupalchowk, 22 per cent in Ramechhap, 18.21 per cent in Nuwakot, 9.66 per cent in Sindhuli, 8.8 per cent in Chitwan and 7.99 per cent in Makawanpur.

Of the 21,200 hectares of cultivable land in Kathmandu, paddy is sown on 5,926 hectares. Similarly, paddy is sown in 4,163 hectares out of total 15,296 hectares in Lalitpur and 2,699 hectares out of total 8,077 hectares in Bhaktapur.

Similarly, 27,207.25 hectares out of total 48,694 hectares in Chitwan, 41,338 hectares in Makawanpur, 7,067 hectares in Makawanpur, 16,498 hectares out of 32,735 hectares in Nuwakot, 2,781 hectares out of 13,778.6 hectares in Rasuwa and 11,136 hectares out of 48,136 hectares in Dhading.
