Mahottari. Kathmandu: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli today visited the drought-hit areas of Tarai Madhes.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held on July 17 had decided to declare Madhes as a disaster-prone area for a period of three months.

Prime Minister Oli had earlier held discussions with the concerned ministers, state governments and high officials on how to solve the problem as the paddy sowing of the farmers was affected due to lack of rain during the rainy season.
