Dhading. The Nagdhunga-Malekhu road section, which is being partially closed for five hours daily, has been opened for today and tomorrow.
The vehicular movement along the road has been disrupted in view of the inaugural session of the 11th central general convention of the CPN-UML.
The Nagdhunga-Muglin road project has been operating with partial halt since December 10. According to the project, the road will not be closed for two days.
After that, the road would be closed on the scheduled time, said chief of Nagdhunga-Muglin Road Project eastern section Keshav Prasad Ojha.
“We have been working for five hours daily from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm from December 17 in coordination with the Dhading and Kathmandu District Administration Offices to expedite the upgrading works,” he said. ”
A delegation from the Youth Association on Wednesday met with Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Kulman Ghising and requested him to open the road for two days in view of the general convention.
The Department of Roads has accorded top priority to the blacktopping of Nagdhunga-Piplamod road section of Kathmandu district while it has given importance to widening the road at Bangebhir of Naubise-Malekhu section of Dhading.
