Kathmandu. The stock market was positive in the pre-open session on Thursday, the first trading day of the new year. On Thursday, the NEPSE index increased by 1.04 points to close at 2,634.81 points. The sensitive index has lost 0.17 points this session.

A total of 6,613 units of shares worth Rs 6,503,010.60 were traded in 99 trades of 46 companies in the pre-open session on Thursday. Of them, the price of 21 companies has increased while the price of 23 companies has decreased. The prices of the remaining 2 companies remained stable in the session.
