Kathmandu. Surendra Kumar Upreti has been elected the President of Nepal NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA). Upreti has been elected unopposed after no other candidate filed his candidacy for the NADA election scheduled for January 10 at 12 noon today.

He was the General Secretary of the current Executive Committee of NADA. He was previously the treasurer of NADA. He was also a member of the Lubricant Committee and the Environment Committee. The 49th annual general meeting of NADA concluded on December 22.

The District Administration Office, Kathmandu had directed not to hold the election after NADA called the general assembly without the election schedule. In compliance with the order, NADA had decided to hold the election on January 25. However, efforts are being made to elect all the office-bearers of the working committee unanimously.
