Mahottari Independent candidate of Constituency No. 3 of the district, Ramadhar Kapar, was beaten up.

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) at the District Police Office, Heramba Sharma, an unidentified group thrashed him at Jaleshwor municipality-7. The incident happened last night.

Independent candidate Kapar has sustained injuries on his chest, back and other body parts. He is currently undergoing treatment in Janakpur.

After being attacked, he informed the police administration for help and they immediately rescued him and sent him to the hospital, SP Sharma said. Police have reached the spot and are searching for the attackers.
