Infrastructure tax on petroleum products reduced by 50%

Kathmandu. The government has decided to reduce the infrastructure tax levied on petrol, diesel and kerosene by 50 percent. A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to reduce customs duty under infrastructure tax by 50 percent.

The government has been levying Rs 10 per liter as Infrastructure Development Tax. Now the government will levy a tax of Rs 5 per liter.
