. Minister for Home Affairs Sudhan Gurung has drawn the attention of a Chinese contractor to the issue of the Narayangadh-Butwal road section remaining in limbo for long. He carried out an on-site inspection of the road section and expressed serious dissatisfaction over the delay in the construction work.
During the inspection, he said that the passengers have been facing problems due to the blockade, daily movement has been affected and the risk of accidents has increased significantly. He stressed that the contracting companies should work responsibly, effectively and in a speedy manner to end this situation at the earliest.
Minister Gurung directed the bodies concerned and the contractors to complete the quality of the construction works on time, saying that any dilly-dallying would not be acceptable. Stating that the security of the citizens should be given first priority, he cautioned not to be negligent in the construction work.
Meanwhile, representatives of the contractor company have pledged to complete the road construction within the next 15 days. They have expedited the construction and assured that the work will be completed within the stipulated timeframe.
