Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has ordered the release of former Energy Minister Deepak Khadka.
A division bench of Acting Chief Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla and Justice Shreekanta Poudel issued the order to release Khadka immediately.
“It seems that Khadka can be investigated outside the custody and he should be allowed to go abroad only after taking permission from the concerned court,” the order reads.
Khadka’s wife Binita Thapa had filed a habeas corpus petition demanding Khadka’s release.
