. The Bagmati Province government has spent 23.09 per cent of its capital expenditure in the first nine months of the current fiscal year 2082/83.
According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the province has spent 28.79 per cent of the total budget in the fiscal year 2082/83.
According to Indra Raj Sanjyal, an officer at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Planning, the province has spent 37.86 per cent of the recurrent budget and 23.09 per cent of the capital expenditure.
He said that the province government had presented a budget of Rs 67.47 billion for the current fiscal year 2082/83, but at the end of nine months, Rs 19.42 billion has been spent.
Of the allocated budget, the Ministry of Health has spent 45.18 per cent, the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Transport 44.79 per cent, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation 43.12 per cent, the Provincial Assembly Secretariat 42.71 per cent, the Office of the Chief Attorney 38.15 per cent and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism 14.01 per cent.
Sanjyal said that due to the damage to the structures of the state government due to the Genji agitation on September 7 and 24, the state government agencies were not working properly and the budget was not implemented.
