About Rs 4 billion revenue collected, how much in which head?

Janakpurdham. The Inland Revenue Office (IRO) has collected Rs 3.97 billion in revenue in the first nine months of the current fiscal year.

The office has collected Rs 3.97 billion against the target of Rs 4.33 billion in the first nine months of the current fiscal year, said Ananda Kumar Gupta, chief of the office.

A total of Rs 3.97 billion has been collected so far from income tax, Rs 31.89 million from restoration, Rs 61.78 million from interest, Rs 81.94 crore from value addition, Rs 1.88 billion from excise duty, Rs 310,000 from health services, Rs 1,000 from education tax and Rs 25.26 million from others. Gupta said.

Meanwhile, Gupta said that action has been taken against 125 firms for not submitting revenue on time. There are 166,652 taxpayers registered with the Inland Revenue Office.
