Development Bank’s Profit Increases by 49.03 Percent

Kathmandu. In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, the national level development banks have earned a profit of Rs 5.50 billion.

The profit increased by 49.03 percent compared to the same period last year. In the same period of the last fiscal year, the development banks had disbursed Rs 3.69 billion.

Garima Bikas Bank has been in the first position in making the highest profit during this period. The bank made a profit of Rs 1,04,82,31,000. The profit increased by 42.91 percent compared to the same period last year.

Muktinath Bikas Bank is the second highest profitable bank. The bank has earned a net profit of Rs 94.26 crore. The profit was 30.04 percent higher than the corresponding period of the previous year.

Similarly, Shine Resunga Development Bank’s net profit increased by 53.38 percent to Rs 78.84 crore. Similarly, Jyoti Bikas Bank has increased by 105 percent to Rs 62.94 crore.

Kamana Sewa Bikas Bank’s net profit increased by 19.37 percent to Rs 58.86 crore.

Lumbini Bikas Bank’s net profit increased by 1028.3 percent to Rs 561.6 million. Shangrila Development Bank’s net profit increased by 11.59 percent to Rs 48.45 crore while that of Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank increased by 5.36 percent to Rs 45.99 crore.
