207 municipalities ready to provide survey and land revenue service from local level

. A total of 207 municipalities have shown interest in providing survey and land revenue service at the local level. The Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation had invited information to the local governments interested in providing the services of the Survey and Land Revenue Office from the local level for a week.

The Ministry has also started preparations to hand over the services related to survey and land revenue to the local level by selecting some municipalities in the first phase as per the plan of handing over services to all interested municipalities in a phased manner.

According to the secretariat of Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation, Pratibha Rawal, priority will be given to the municipalities with less crowd and high service pressure on the basis of pressure of service seekers, access and management capacity while selecting the municipalities.TAG_OPEN_div_12 The Ministry has also sent a circular to survey and land revenue officials in the districts where interested municipalities are interested to visit the local levels for on-site monitoring and inform them of the situation.
