Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming has stressed on the need of China-Nepal security cooperation and expressed commitment to do everything possible to further strengthen it.
During a meeting with the participants of the first batch of Police Leadership and Staff Course (PLSC) held at Maharajgunj-based National Police Training Academy on Thursday, the Chinese Ambassador expressed commitment to make every effort to strengthen the bilateral security cooperation.
During the meeting, Minister Gyawali exchanged views on various contemporary issues with future leaders of Nepal Police, according to the Chinese Embassy here.
Matters relating to Nepal-China relations and contemporary global and regional security challenges were discussed in the meeting.
The participants also shared their views on the current state of relations between the two countries, mutual cooperation and future prospects.
Noting that the bilateral relations between Nepal and China have been continuously strengthened, the Chinese Ambassador expressed the belief that the law enforcement and security cooperation would reach to an even higher level in the coming days.
The bilateral cooperation is expected to enhance mutual confidence and contribute to regional stability.
