Kathmandu. From now on, government employees across the country will get their salaries in 15 days each. The project, which started as a pilot project by the Ministry of Finance, will be applicable to the payment of salaries of government employees across the country.

The government has decided to make historic changes in the payment system of civil servants and civil servants. The government employees will get their salaries and allowances every 15 days (half-monthly) by ending the compulsion to wait for a month.

The government has formally started the process of paying salaries and allowances to civil servants under the federal government twice a month. The Office of Financial Comptroller General (OFCG) on May 21 issued a circular to all treasury and financial comptroller offices across the country directing them to implement such provision.
