Kathmandu. Now the infrastructure has to be insured. The government has made this provision by amending the Insurance Act through an ordinance.

In the new provision, the provision related to insurance of public infrastructure construction has a provision that “the provisions relating to insurance of infrastructure construction shall be as prescribed”.

Similarly, the board of directors of NEA has been formed with 6 members. Earlier, the board of directors of NEA was 5 members but now the technical joint secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure is the member.

Earlier, the joint secretary of the Ministry of Finance and Law was the director. Now the physical has been added.

The word ‘engineering’ has been added to the qualification of the chairman or member of the NEA to represent the joint secretary of the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure.
