Kathmandu. Sagar Dhakal has been elected as the executive committee member of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) by securing the second highest number of votes. His victory in this important responsibility representing the private sector has been positively received by the business community.

Expressing gratitude for the overwhelming support received in the election, newly-elected member Dhakal thanked all the respected chairpersons and representatives. He has expressed his commitment to work more responsibly in the coming days, taking this public support as a trust towards the private sector.

“Your valuable vote and trust has made me even more responsible. This support with the second highest vote has strengthened my sense of duty. Through FNCC, I will strongly raise the issues of the private sector and will do a lot of work for business-friendly policymaking, investment promotion, and expansion of economic activity,” Dhakal said.

He said that special attention would be given to creating industry-business friendly environment, policy reform, increasing collaboration between the government and private sector, easing the investment climate and promoting entrepreneurship. He also said that his role will be focused on empowering small and medium enterprises, encouraging innovation and strengthening common voice of the private sector.

Dhakal expressed his commitment to take initiatives to move forward as an effective, inclusive and result-oriented organization during his tenure.
