Kathmandu. The Lumbini Buddhist University has appointed Chinese student Fu Qiang as the ambassador for international education and cultural exchange. Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Subarna Lal Bajracharya handed over the certificate of appointment to Phu on the occasion.
According to the appointments made by the Chinese ambassador to the University, Fu Qiyang has made significant contributions to the promotion of international student enrollment and cultural exchanges and expansion. Studying Buddhist philosophy at the same university since 2025 BS, he has been actively contributing to various projects including construction of a well in the rural settlement of Nepal, a support to the university library and collecting philanthropic support from China.
He is also said to have given special appreciation to the university for its extensive publicity of academic characteristics and study environment in China. As a result, many Chinese students have been attracted to the university. Due to his efforts, some Chinese students have been admitted to Lumbini Buddhist University.
KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed ambassador to Nepal Fu Qiang has pledged to further strengthen his journey in the field of Buddhist philosophy and promote Buddhist education at the international level. He aims to identify the only Buddhist university in Nepal and present the true essence of Buddhism to the world.
The University is also confident that international cooperation and cultural exchanges would be further strengthened in the coming days.
