Ram Prasad Rai Rural Municipality issues 21-point white paper aimed at improving quality of education

Bhojpur. The Ramprasad Rai Rural Municipality has issued a 21-point ‘Educational White Paper-2083’ with the objective of improving the quality of education in community schools. The white paper has been made public with the long-term goal of producing skilled, skilled and competitive human resources by strengthening the educational status of schools in the rural municipality.

According to the rural municipality, the initiative has been taken to address various problems seen in the education sector, such as declining attendance of students, decline in results, lack of skilled manpower and lack of infrastructure.TAG_OPEN_div_40

The white paper has prioritized school management, capacity building of teachers, improvement of learning achievement of students, development of technology-friendly teaching system and increasing participation of parents.TAG_OPEN_div_38

The rural municipality has announced to provide laptops to one boy and girl securing the highest marks in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) and the best teacher of the secondary level.TAG_OPEN_div_36 According to the rural municipality, it will develop competitive spirit among the students and make the teachers more responsible and motivated.

The best teachers will be selected from among 34 community schools operating in the rural municipality and 10 individuals will be honoured with Rs 10,TAG_OPEN_div_34 000 each. Similarly, a boy and a girl scoring the highest marks in class 8 will be honored with Rs 10,000 each. It is believed that such motivational programs will give more energy to both students and teachers to perform better.

The white paper incorporates various points including regular monitoring and evaluation of schools, strict enforcement of teachers’ attendance, ensuring availability of educational materials, improving the management of libraries and laboratories, expanding the use of information technology and encouraging extracurricular activities.TAG_OPEN_div_32

In addition, the issue of strengthening school-parent-community cooperation has also been prioritized.
