Kathmandu. Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company (SALICO) has published its unaudited financial statements for the third quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/083. During this period, the company’s profit has declined.

The company has earned a net profit of Rs 13.32 crore in the same period as compared to Rs 25.19 crore in the last FY. The company’s net profit declined by 47.13 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous FY.

In the third quarter, the company’s core income from the insurance business has improved. In the review period, the company earned Rs 1.47 billion in premiums. Such income was Rs 1.29 billion in the same period last year.

The company’s total premium has also increased to Rs 2.97 billion. In the first quarter of the last FY, the company earned Rs 2.94 billion in total insurance premiums.

The company’s earnings per share (EPS) has also decreased in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The company’s EPS has decreased to Rs 6.77 from Rs 12.81 in the third quarter of the previous year. Similarly, the net worth per share of the company is Rs 233.64.

The total assets of the company have increased to Rs 14.91 billion. Such assets stood at Rs 14.72 billion at the end of the last FY. The company has paid-up capital of Rs 2.62 billion with special reserve of Rs 2.55 billion, catastrophe fund of Rs 22.67 crore and reserve fund of Rs 188.1 million.
