Kathmandu. The third edition of AWS Community Day Nepal 2026 has been successfully organized amidst growing interest in cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity in Nepal.
The event was attended by over 500 developers, engineers, architects, startup founders, corporate leaders and technology professionals from all over Nepal. The event is one of the largest community-based technology conferences in Nepal.
The event organized by AWS User Group Nepal at The Plaza, Pulchowk, Lalitpur featured more than 15 technical sessions, keynote presentations, leadership talks and special technical tracks on cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI systems, platform engineering and advanced digital transformation.
Inaugurating the event, Anjani Phuyal, Leader of AWS User Group Nepal and Founder and CEO of Genese Solutions, said, “The role of learning and collaboration through the community has become increasingly important in the cloud, AI, and cybersecurity landscape in Nepal. Founel is known as one of the top AWS Ambassadors in the UK and Ireland region. He has represented Nepal in various international forums including the United Nations.
“AWS Community Day Nepalu is not just a program of technical sessions, it is a common platform for builders, learning communities, leaders, and innovators to join together to strengthen the digital future of Nepal,” Phuyal shared.
AWS from India and international experts in the field of technology also participated in the program. Speakers including Dr. Chanpreet Singh (Senior Delivery Consultant – AI÷ML, AWS India), Amit Kumar (Senior Solution Architect, AWS India) and Jatin Mehrotra (Developer Advocate, Amazon Web Services) gave presentations on the use of practical AI, reliable cloud infrastructure, platform modernization, and helping organizations build advanced cloud-native applications.
The highlight of the event was a leadership level panel discussion moderated by Anjani Phuyal, Leader of AWS User Group Nepal. The meeting was attended by Mr. Rajendra Khetan, Chairman of Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Mr. Sunaina Pandey, President of CAN Federation and Mr. Nilesh Man Singh Pradhan, Chief Executive Officer, Nepal Clearing House Ltd. During the discussion, discussions were exchanged on how financial institutions, enterprises, and technology leaders in Nepal are advancing cloud deployment, AI strategies, and strengthening cybersecurity.
The program featured three parallel technical tracks focusing on Cloud and Platform Engineering, Security, Compliance and Resiliency Architecture, Data Platforms, AI Systems, and Product Level Machine Learning.
During the program, technical speakers including Md. Mizanur Rahman, Puru Tuladhar, Ananda Mehta, Shreeti Shrestha, Narayan Koirala, and Prabhat Acharya shared their hands-on experience and insights on cloud operations, DevSecOps, AI systems, machine learning and enterprise-level digital platforms. The remarkable participation in AWS Community Day Nepal 2026 indicates that the interest towards cloud, AI and cybersecurity skills and learning is growing rapidly in Nepal.
AWS Community Day events held in various countries around the world are based on the concept “By Community, For Community”. Such events are held regularly in countries including the United States, India, Germany, South Africa, Bangladesh and Hong Kong.
According to the organizers, the event will reinforce the importance of community-based tech learning in Nepal and indicate that Nepal is increasingly linking itself to the global cloud computing, AI adoption trends and cybersecurity innovations.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) User Group Nepal is a community-based technology platform with around 3,000 members across Nepal. It has been working to connect the tech community through cloud, AI and advanced technology knowledge sharing, as well as through workshops, technical sessions, and community-based events.
AWS User Groups are part of a global community network that spans 89 countries. There are currently 362 AWS user groups and more than 455,000 members worldwide, making it one of the largest cloud and developer communities in the world.
