Kathmandu. In line with its commitment towards youth empowerment and education, Ncell Foundation in continuation with Project Shiksha has announced to provide ‘Ncell SEE Scholarships’ nation-wide to the students who pass the Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The program opens new doors of opportunity for the talented students across Nepal.”
Under this collaboration, Ncell Foundation will provide scholarships to 100 students who passed Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year for Grade 11 and 12 courses. The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of written examination and interview to be conducted in all seven provinces. This initiative will ensure equal opportunities for students from every corner of the country and give special priority to students who need financial support to pursue higher education.
In addition to this, students will also receive free data and voice service for 12 months from Ncell to help them stay connected with their studies, opportunities and connect with their dreams.
“At Ncell we believe education is a fundamental pillar for building a country’s future. Through this collaboration with Project Shiksha, we aim to ensure access to quality education for higher education by supporting young SEE students to fulfill their dreams.” We believe that the future of the youth should not be determined by the geographical and economic conditions. Through the state-level examination and transparent selection process, we are reaching out to those students who have the potential but lack the opportunity. Through this initiative, we are contributing towards building a stronger and more inclusive future,” said Bishakha Laxmi Khadka, Corporate Communication and Sustainability Director of Ncell.
Similarly, the scholarship programme, Project Shiksha, operated by the Hundred Group, will provide scholarships to 50 students. The program has been in operation since 2017 and has been creating meaningful educational opportunities for SEE passing students across Nepal.
Last year too, Ncell Foundation had provided scholarship to 50 students from across the country under the same scheme. These students are now studying in class 12 in various educational institutions and are following their aspirations.
