Kathmandu. The real estate transactions are gradually increasing, according to the latest transaction and revenue collection data. Revenue collection has increased in April as compared to the previous year.
A total of Rs 6.16 billion revenue was collected from real estate transactions in April last year, while the land revenue offices across the country collected Rs 6.26 billion in April.
According to the Department of Land Management and Records, Rs 344 million 63 thousand 402 was collected from service tax, Rs 3.31 billion 95 million 50 thousand 117 from registration fee and Rs 2.55 billion 24 million 64 thousand 22 from capital gains tax in April 2018. Similarly, Rs 44,88,78,318 has been collected from the Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign Fund fee.
Such fees were collected from service tax at Rs 361 million and Rs 3.22 billion 84 million 60 thousand 562 from registration fee in April last year. Likewise, Rs 2.52 billion was collected as capital gains tax.
According to the department, Rs 462,99,780 has been collected from the Chief Minister’s Sanitation Campaign Fund fee.
Similarly, Rs 4.14 billion revenue was collected in the month of March. According to the department, revenue worth Rs 5.99 billion was collected in January last year.
