Rs 3.61 billion revenue collected in 10 months

Cover. Bhadrapur, June 13: The Inland Revenue Office (IRO), Bhadrapur, has collected Rs 3.61 billion revenue in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year 2082/83. This amount is 82.21 percent of the target set for the period.

According to Dilliram Chamlagain, tax officer of the office, the target was to collect Rs 4.TAG_OPEN_div_6 40 billion by mid-April of the current fiscal year. He further said that only 83.87 per cent of the target was collected so far against the target of collecting Rs 428.56 million revenue in the month of April.

According to the statistics of the office, Rs TAG_OPEN_div_4 1.68 billion has been collected from income tax, Rs 1.28 billion from Value Added Tax and Rs 499.732 million from excise duty till mid-April of the current fiscal year. The office has stated that efforts are on to increase revenue collection by making taxpayer awareness, regular monitoring and tax administration effective.
