Kathmandu. It has been five years since the organic fertilizer and biogas industry was established at Okharbote of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-2 with the objective of collecting waste from Diktel bazaar and its surroundings.

The buffaloes were also reared in an improved shed a little higher than the place where there was a compost manure industry and biogas plant for the dung and dung required for the cows and buffaloes. The industry, established by the municipality with the support of the federal government, provided full-time employment to four local youths and short-term employment to 25 people.

} The employees who have been working for a long time and the buffaloes tied up in cowsheds are no longer in the industry. The municipality does not have exact data on how much was paid to the employees appointed on contract basis. This issue has been raised from time to time.
