During this period, the shareholders fund of 7 corporations is negative. Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has the highest net worth of Rs 7.93 billion. In the fiscal year 2081/82, the total assets of the corporation increased by 9.49 percent to Rs 3.206 billion compared to the fiscal year 2080/81.
The total investment of the government in public enterprises has increased by 13.44 percent to Rs 798.56 billion compared to the fiscal year 2080/81. Out of this, share investment is Rs 370.25 billion and loan investment is Rs 428.31 billion.
In the fiscal year 2081/82, the total income and total operating income of the public enterprises stood at Rs 721.14 billion and Rs 672.40 billion, respectively. This is 0.67 percent and 0.66 percent more than the previous fiscal year.
The ratio of total income to operating income in the Gross Domestic Product stood at 11.80 and 10.85 percent respectively.
Among the corporations in operation, 27 have been successful in making profit while 16 are in loss. Compared to the fiscal year 2080/81, the net profit of the public enterprises increased by 12.03 percent to Rs 45.08 billion. The net profit of the corporation stood at Rs 48.89 billion while the net loss of the corporation stood at Rs 3.80 billion.
The net profit of the making corporations has increased by 10.58 percent compared to the last fiscal year while the net loss of the corporations has decreased by 4.14 percent compared to the previous year.
In the fiscal year 2081/82, the total profit of the public enterprises increased by 21.51 percent to Rs 105.45 billion compared to the previous year. Nepal Authority, Nepal Telecommunication Company Limited and Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) have made the highest profit.
