Petroleum products worth Rs 181 billion imported through Birgunj border point

Kathmandu. Six types of petroleum products worth Rs 181.70 billion have been imported through Birgunj border point in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year.

In the same period of the last fiscal year, the value of the checkpoint has increased by Rs 25.53 billion or 16.35 percent. In the first 10 months of the last fiscal year, the import of petroleum products amounted to Rs 156.17 billion.

Udaya Singh Bista, information officer at the Birgunj Customs Office, said that the government collected Rs 67.19 billion in revenue from the import of petroleum products in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. A total of 895,246 kilolitres of diesel worth Rs 157 crore has been imported in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. In the first 10 months of the last fiscal year, 9857 kilolitres of diesel worth Rs 795.57 crore was imported.

A total of 390,615 kilolitres of petrol worth Rs 35.79 billion has been imported. In the first 10 months of the last fiscal year, Nepal imported 367,344 kilolitres of petrol worth Rs 31.71 billion.

KATHMANDU: Nepal imported 242.703 thousand 150 kilograms of LPG worth Rs 25.54 billion in the first 10 months of the current fiscal year. In the first 10 months of the last fiscal year, 264,14,326 kilograms of LPG worth Rs 30.28 billion was imported.
