Kathmandu. CC cameras have been installed in most of the public vehicles operating in the eastern part of Kathmandu. Arrangements have also been made to buy bus tickets online.
At a time when the government is preparing to mandatorily install GPS and CC cameras in all public vehicles, the former Transport Management Pvt Ltd has installed GPS and CC cameras in all the vehicles operating towards the east from the New Bus Park in Kathmandu.
According to former Transport Management Pvt Ltd Chair Rajan Rokka, 81 public vehicles have been fitted with GPS and CC cameras. The public vehicles operating in the east of Nepal have been operating since 2080 BS by linking them to a single company.
The company has been operating public vehicles in Tehrathum, Taplejung, Khandbari, Kakadvitta, Bhadrapur, Dharan, Biratnagar, Madhumalla, Gauriganj, Baniyani, Gaighat, Ilam, Pashupatinagar Katari, Janakpur, Rajbiraj and Birgunj.
Company proprietor Rajendra Bahadur Thapa said the former transport management company has implemented the action plan forwarded by the government. He added that the luggage tag will be implemented in his company’s buses as soon as possible. According to him, the company has also implemented an online ticketing system for the convenience of the passengers going to the eastern region.
