More than 1 lakh foreign tourists arrived in May, how many from which country?

. In the month of May 2026, more than 100,000 foreign tourists have visited Nepal.

According to the information provided by the Nepal Tourism Board, 102,626 foreign tourists visited Nepal in May.TAG_OPEN_div_19 That number is 19 percent more than last year.

Region-wise, foreigners from SAARC (47.2 per cent), other Asian countries (19.9 per cent), Europe (13.1 per cent), America (10.3 per cent), Australia and New Zealand (3.1 per cent), Middle East (1.5 per cent) and other countries (4.5 per cent) were imported.TAG_OPEN_div_13

Nepal’s tourism has been affected due to the conflict in the West Asian countries. However, the number is expected to increase further in the coming days due to the growing trust in Nepal in the international market and tourism activities.
