Kathmandu. A total of 32 people have applied for the post of chairman and member of the Electricity Regulatory Commission (ERC).

According to the committee, 10 candidates have applied for the post of president and 22 for the post of member. The committee had issued a public notice on May 21 inviting applications from interested eligible persons to forward the process for appointment of the leadership and office-bearers of the commission.

Engineer Rudra Prasad Gautam, Keshav Adhikari, Dr Ram Prasad Dhimal, Rameshwor Prasad Kalwar, Madhu Prasad Bhetwal, Moti Bahadur Kunwar and Dr KC have been elected as chairpersons of the Electricity Regulatory Commission. Madhusudhan Adhikari, Dr. Bholanath Sharma Adhikari, Narayan Prasad Sapkota and Dr. Shanti Subedi have applied for the post.

Similarly, 22 people have applied for the post of member of the Electricity Regulatory Commission. Dr Shekhar Aryal, Rajiv Kumar Singh, Nijwal Basnet and Rudra Prasad Sitaula have applied for the post of members.

Likewise, Jayaraj Bhandari, Brajmohan Jha, Suresh Bahadur Bhattarai, Prakash Gyawali, Lokraj Pathak, Ram Prasad Gautam, Jhamak Prasad Sharma, Bishal Silwal, Balaram Silwal, Rajiv Dahal, Bigyan Shrestha, Diwakar Mallik, Arjun Kumar Gautam, Narendra Singh Bhandari, Narayan Prasad Sapkota, Kalpa Mohan Soti, Shanti Kala Subedi and Kusheshwar Prasad Sahu have applied for the post of members.
