Kathmandu.  Pokhara—Flydubai has announced that it will operate daily direct flights to Pokhara International Airport (PHH), the second destination of Nepal. The service will start from September 23, 2026.

With this new service, flydubai has become the first airline to operate direct regular flights from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pokhara. Successfully operating in Kathmandu since 2009, flydubai has served over 4 million passengers in Nepal.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Flydubai said, “Nepal is a very important market for Flydubai and the expansion of direct flights to Pokhara is an important step in further strengthening tourism, trade and people-to-people relations between Nepal and UAE. “The company is proud to leverage Dubai as a world-class hub to provide passengers with more access and easy connectivity.

Sudhir Sridhar, Senior Vice President (DSVP) of Flydubai said, “The Pokhara flight will provide more choice and convenient travel experience to the passengers. According to him, the service will be targeted to the demand of passengers travelling from the UAE, Gulf countries, the Middle East, Europe and Flydubai’s extensive international network.

Situated in the lap of the Annapurna mountain range, Pokhara is known as the major tourism and adventure center of Nepal. The new direct flight service is expected to contribute significantly to tourism promotion, expansion of economic activities and international access in western Nepal.

The service, operated under the codeshare partnership between flydubai and Emirates, will provide passengers with a single ticket, through-check-in of baggage and easy access to a wide international network.
