Kathmandu. Kathmandu: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has prioritized the control and management of the number of stray dogs and monkeys in the upcoming fiscal year 2083/84 BS.

In its policy and programmes for the fiscal year 2083/084, the KMC has stated that humanitarian, scientific and technical measures would be adopted for the management of stray dogs and monkeys while ensuring the welfare of livestock.

According to the policy and programme, an effective management system will be implemented to control the number of dogs and monkeys on the streets. The metropolis has a plan to use modern technology and scientific methods keeping in mind the protection and welfare of animals.
