. The Koshi Province government has announced the upcoming fiscal year

The government has presented a budget of Rs 40.44 billion for the fiscal year 2083/084. Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of Koshi Province, Bidur Kumar Lingthep, allocated the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.

This budget is 12.74 percent more than the current fiscal year. Out of the budget allocated for the current fiscal year, Rs 13.97 billion or 34.55 per cent has been allocated for recurrent expenditure, Rs 20.75 billion or 51.32 per cent for capital expenditure, Rs 150 million or 0.37 per cent for financial management and Rs 5.56 billion for financial transfer to the local level.

The government will collect Rs 5.50 billion from internal revenue, Rs 12.87 billion from revenue allocation and Rs 9.12 billion from financial equalization grant from the federal government.

Similarly, Rs 5.95 billion has been provided as conditional grant, Rs 840 million as supplementary grant, Rs 550 million as special grant, Rs 410 million as royalty and Rs 200 million as direct payment. The remaining Rs 5 billion will be met from cash reserves, according to the budget.
