Kathmandu. In the budget for the fiscal year 2083/84, Madhes Start-up Fund and Innovation Madhes Fund will be established to promote innovation and entrepreneurship based on domestic raw materials.

Finance Minister Yubaraj Bhattarai has allocated the budget for the coming fiscal year to provide seed capital and technology transfer to new entrepreneurs and youths with excellent business plans.

Likewise, in order to implement the slogan of “Our own province, our own employment”, productive industries providing direct employment to more than one thousand people will be given exemption from provincial tax and ‘Employer Honor’. According to market demand, adequate funds have been allocated for special training programs to prepare at least one thousand new digital entrepreneurs by conducting e-commerce and online marketing training targeted at women and youth.

Necessary amendments will be made in the existing investment laws to attract domestic and foreign investors to the province. A ‘one-door service system’ will be brought into operation with the objective of providing all services to the industrialists and entrepreneurs under one roof to create investment-friendly environment in the province. It is mentioned that arrangements will be made to register industries and firms in a single day through this one-door system.
