Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police have taken action against 2,299 drivers for traffic rule violation in the last 24 hours.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, Rs 2.1 million 86 thousand 503 revenue has been deposited in the state treasury from this amount. Spokesperson of Traffic Police Naresh Raj Subedi said the action was taken against 95 for drunken drink, 99 for ride-sharing, 129 for breaching signal lights and 147 for speeding.
According to him, 108 for flouting lane discipline, 115 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 87 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 98 for one-way driving and 1,421 for violating other traffic rules were taken.
