Nikki signs agreement with Geeta to expand business and investment

Kathmandu. The Nepal-India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NICCI) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India-based Global Investment and Trade Advisors (GITA). The MoU builds a framework of strategic cooperation between Nepal and India to promote trade, investment, institutional partnership and economic cooperation.

The partnership reflects a shared commitment to further strengthen cross-border trade ties, facilitate knowledge and experience sharing, and create new opportunities for investors and entrepreneurs in both countries.

According to the agreement, Nikkei and Gita will work together in various initiatives including exchange of business delegations, investment promotion programs, sectoral interactions, policy dialogue, roadshows, and consultations with stakeholders.

The collaboration aims to promote structured collaboration among business leaders, investors, chambers of commerce, industry bodies, government agencies and development partner organizations and ensure greater participation in the emerging economic opportunities in key sectors.

The MOU was signed by Nikkei’s director Marshall Rathore and Geeta’s managing partner Priya Rawat. On the occasion, the representatives of both organizations emphasized the important role of institutional cooperation in further strengthening India-Nepal economic relations.

The MoU between the two organisations will play an important role in the coming days to enhance bilateral trade and investment flows, promote trade partnership and create a more dynamic and effective environment for economic cooperation between the two neighbouring countries.
