Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Hearing on a writ petition filed at the Supreme Court against CPN-UML’s vice-chair and former deputy prime minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Poudel has been detained.

A single bench of Justice Shreekanta Poudel was hearing the case. Now the debate is over.

The hearing on the writ petition filed by Poudel’s wife Domaya Poudel has concluded. In the petition, Domaya has demanded an order of release saying that she was arrested without any evidence and basis on political vendetta.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation on Tuesday extended the custody of Poudel for 5 days on the basis of his statement that he was made known in the share transaction of Deepak Bhatta and Kamal Kishor Malpani Group.
