. In the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, non-life insurance companies have done insurance business of over Rs 44 billion. As per the data made public by the Nepal Insurance Authority, the 14 non-life insurance companies that were in operation till mid-June have collected Rs 44.38 billion in insurance premium by selling 26,51,010 insurance policies.

According to the data of the authority, the companies sold 239,348 insurance policies in May alone and collected insurance premium worth Rs 4.09 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_38

Shikhar Insurance is the company that earns the highest premium till the end of June.TAG_OPEN_div_36 The company has collected Rs 5.62 billion in insurance premiums by issuing 297,734 policies.

According to NEA, Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance (SALICO) has earned Rs 4.TAG_OPEN_div_34 77 billion in insurance premiums while Himalayan Everest Insurance has earned Rs 4.73 billion in insurance premiums during the period.

Siddhartha Premier Insurance has earned Rs 3.92 billion in premiums while IGI Prudential has earned Rs 3.TAG_OPEN_div_32 91 billion in premiums till mid-June this year.

According to NEA, NLG Insurance has done business worth Rs 3.73 billion while Neco Insurance has done business of Rs 3.28 billion till mid-June.TAG_OPEN_div_30

During the period, Nepal Insurance Company earned Rs 1.97 billion in insurance policies by selling 1,TAG_OPEN_div_28 76,114 policies while The Oriental Insurance earned Rs 2.80 billion in premiums.

Similarly, National Insurance Company and National Insurance Company have done business worth Rs 1.42 billion and Rs TAG_OPEN_div_26 1.19 billion respectively till mid-June 2019, according to the data of NEA.

According to NEA, Prabhu Insurance Ltd and Sanima GIC Ltd contributed Rs 2.55 billion and United Ajod Insurance Rs 2.76 billion during the period.TAG_OPEN_div_24

As of mid-June of the current fiscal year, 4 micro-insurance companies under the non-life insurance company have made a business of more than Rs 1.25 billion.TAG_OPEN_div_22 During the period, the companies issued 455,612 policies and generated business worth Rs 1.19 billion.

During the period, Nepal Micro Insurance earned Rs 27.73 crore, Protective Micro Insurance Rs 340.6 million, Star Micro Insurance Rs 28.53 crore and Trust Micro Insurance Rs 27.35 million.TAG_OPEN_div_20
