Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank has announced to launch Global IME Entrepreneurship Programme with the objective of promoting entrepreneurship and promoting small and medium enterprises in the country.

On the occasion of World Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Day 2026, the government has invited applications from entrepreneurs and innovative minds across the country for the incubation programme.

The main objective of this entrepreneurship program is to motivate innovative individuals to become successful entrepreneurs and to provide the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and consultancy to the existing micro, small and medium enterprises to build sustainable and prestigious businesses.

Surendra Raj Regmi, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Bank, announced the opening of applications for the program by formally announcing the program at the bank’s head office in Kamaladi, Kathmandu.

“The bank has created this platform to address common challenges faced by micro, small and medium enterprises. Practical knowledge and problem-solving solutions will be imparted to the participants through subject matter experts, experienced professionals and trainers,” he said.

Under the Entrepreneurship Program, the bank will provide support in two main ways. The first is incubation and the second is acceleration. The incubation program will be targeted at young people who are new and innovative, have business ideas but are unsure how to start their entrepreneurial journey. Under this, their capacity building, business network and guidance will be provided.

Similarly, the acceleration program will cover enterprises that are currently in operation but are facing difficulties in business expansion or upgradation. This includes capacity building, use of modern technology, marketing and facilitation of access to stakeholders.

Through this program, participants will gain hands-on knowledge on important topics such as business registration, tax and legal procedures, market studies, product production process, financial management and access to banks and financial institutions.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy CEO of the Bank, senior management members, representatives of partner organizations and media persons.
