1,592 vehicles taken to task, Rs 2,24,000 revenue collected

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, the Traffic Police have taken action against 1,592 vehicles for violating road discipline. A team from the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office collected Rs 2 million 2 million 24 thousand 561 in revenue from taking action against the vehicles.

Spokesperson at the office, Naresh Raj Subedi, said that in the past 24 hours, 73 were taken for drunk driving, 87 for ride-sharing, 74 for flouting red lights, 78 for speeding and 47 for flouting lane discipline.

Spokesperson Subedi further informed that the government took action against 87 people for using black glass in vehicles, 56 for no-horn, 32 for taking vehicles in one-way roads and 1,058 for other offences.

Lately, the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office has been taking action against the vehicles flouting traffic discipline.
