Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Gauri Kumari Yadav, has conducted an emergency monitoring and inspection at the Office of the Company Registrar at Tripureshwor.
A high-level team including the ministry’s secretary reached there this morning to take stock of the status of the office.
During the inspection, Chief of the Company Registrar’s Office, Krishna Kumari Shrestha, informed Minister Yadav about the improvements made in the office in the last one month.
End of cumbersome process, company registration and PAN number

According to Registrar Shrestha, the digital system has been launched to end the problems and hassles faced by the general public in the past on the basis of the directives mentioned in point number 58 of the report on governance reforms.
According to the new system, now the service recipient has to go to the office for company registration and the entire process can be completed online from home.
The system has been developed to complete the entire process online from home. In addition, the technology has been integrated so that one does not have to go to the concerned Inland Revenue Office to get a permanent account number after company registration. This arrangement will save both time and cost to the service recipients, according to the office.
AI-enabled call center and technology

The office has also arranged a call center based on Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to address the complaints and problems of the service seekers immediately.
As a result, customers will now be able to get information and services related to company registration 24 hours a day. During the inspection, Minister Yadav inspected various branches of the office and directed the general public to pay attention to the maximum use of new technologies in the coming days.
28 percent staff cuts proposed
The office has proposed a major change in the management of human resources with the full implementation of digital system and technology. Registrar Shrestha submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Industry to reduce 28 percent of the staff, saying it has been possible to work faster with a small number of employees through the maximum use of technology available at present. This decision is expected to reduce a huge burden on the administrative expenses of the state.
A special team led by Secretary at the Ministry Krishna Bahadur Raut was present in the monitoring program while Registrar Shrestha inspected all the offices of the minister and the secretary.
